Affiliate links
Some links to stores on fire.co.za are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the store may pay us a small commission. You pay the same price. These links are marked as sponsored for search engines and open in a new tab.
How we choose products
- We pick products that suit the guide's reader: the right size, type and price range for the job.
- We favour products that are in stock at South African retailers, and we try to cover budget, mid-range and premium options.
- No brand or store pays to be included, and commission rates don't decide what we recommend.
- Product descriptions are based on the manufacturer's and retailer's published specifications. We say so when something is our opinion.
Where prices come from
Prices are taken from each retailer's own website and shown with the date we checked them. Prices and stock change often, so the price at checkout is the one that counts.
Installer quotes
When you ask for quotes, we share your request (with your consent) with up to three relevant local businesses. Those businesses may pay us for leads or listings. They do not pay for reviews or for mentions in our guides.
